I just look on their web site, they seem to list a number of car meets by cannot see one on 21st Oct 18. Has the organiser of this event asked the pub or is this just a turn up and hope no one else has booked it or will be doing the same?

I also notice it seems to be connected with a place saying " gays cruising for a pick up" . This comes up when you google search the pub name.

Hope personally this is a family event?

I thought it was just gonna be a park up and meet? Didn't realise it had to be booked as an event? I was bringing the missus and kids to Have a bit of grub and a beer. Haven't been there in a while but never heard about any gays cruising! I thought the place looked family friemdly

I am not 100% certain about anything, ie I dont know if you need to tell the pub but a bit late now. I would imagine 1300 Sunday it might be a bit busy? Look on their site it lists other clubs on other dates.

I am not sure the alleged gay pick up would be on a Sunday lunch time, but no disrespect to anyone I would not know anything about that as I am hetrosexual.

I posted it up on my fb genuine alpina owners and alpina uk and alpina b5.6.7 fb so a few might come.

You might call the pub as they can obviously turn anyone away. I am not coming for food and my child is 31 so he wont need a baby seat and will no doubt be getting his dinner elsewhere lol.

Unless I hear different I will come.

There probably won't be enough of us for it to be a full blown event anyway? Just a few pals meeting up for a beer? Would the pub be any the wiser?

my view is to give it a go and just see how we get on, its not the end of the world . Sorry if I have thrown a spanner, I am a bit of a planner as opposed to "it will be alright on the night"

I just called the pub and said there might be about 10 of us? Guy said no need to book it as an event. Just turn up and enjoy yourselves! I said we'd probably all be having a swift half at least 😁

Thats good news then, saves any embarrassment if the robin reliant club had packed it out.

I think you are looking into this a little bit too much mate it is a family friendly pub I often go too and I will be surprised if there is more than 5 or 6 people who actually make it.

As Paul said it's just a few blokes getting together showing off our cars and having a beer! Thanks for calling the pub and checking it is ok Paul. There is plenty of space in the pub and the land next to it if need be.
