Re: Time for a new one!

Time sure does fly Charles, it doesn't seem that long ago that you had the last one done. Hope it all goes ok.

Re: Switched 12v supply from Sunroof

So it seems that the sunroof doesnt work if the key is out of the car. So this suggests that the two thicker wires going to the sunroof motor could be a good place to take my 12v from. Please could anyone confirm prior to me splicing away? @PerryGunn - you know your way around the electrics in thes...

B10 3.2 [E39] #189 is back up to £8.0k
Cheers Bob, strange logic but maybe the owner gets people trying to knock him down too much and hence the repricing to allow for it, who knows? For obvious reasons I would like to see the values of these cars creeping up though.

Re: ALPINA B10 , 3.2

I saw it on ebay in November 2018 for £6250.

The seller needs to correct the mileage which is a typo under "mileage" and showing over 1.5 million miles, beat that Charles. :D

Ikule / Steve, you have a pm.

Out of interest, is your pm email notification switched on?

Cheers,

Re: New Forum !

Neil / Charles, Just an idea, is it possible to set all members email notification for private messages to on? Mine was set to off when I checked. I sent forum member Ikule a PM a week ago and as of yet he has not opened it as he would have done prior to the recent changes. I also think this would b...

Re: Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo: Starting Issue...

OBC needs sorting as it controls an immobilising relay through the 'Code' feature. Have you got an E34 owners manual - IIRC it contains instructions on what to do if you forget the code. Further internet searching might reveal what symptoms and causes are linked with loss of OBC display and immobil...

Re: B10 3.3 Newbie Questions

Watch out for rust on the rear jacking points, what looks good with just a small scab of rust can turn out to be a major bit of rot when the plastic covers are removed from under the sills. This is a known E39 problem.

Good luck with your quest.
