Like Norman, I provide the correct oil filter on oil services to Sytner, Originally Sytner also tried to fit a standard 750 filter , not a 745 or the correct one Alpina sent a bulletin to the Bmw dealers showing and stating the correct filter None of the service advisors are even aware of this fact...

Re: high mileage B5

Deffo the supercharger, I think Sytner quoted someone about 5K fitted. But the springs, discs, even tyres which arent cheap. Check all the electrics work and the age of the battery. I would say unless the car is really cheap think long and hard.

Re: why are some models rarer than others?

I personally believe it is based on demand and orders for UK. The market is fairly limited how many people know what an ALPINA is? Also if one does not live anywhere near a Sytner (sole franchisee since 1983) dealership they will not see one save for one the road or in a mag or show. I think from me...

Yes folks it starts today ULEZ charge so if you go into the congestion zone its about 25 pounds per day, oh and will cover all of London on 25th Oct 2021. Stay way if you can don't give money to Mr Khan and Transport for London to whom "every journey mean more money and we don't give a xxxx".

Re: 2007 ALPINA B5 for sale at Sytner Nottingham

I had 2 new E60 (not ALPINA) both diesel, very reliable and I was happy with them. My son had a 535D E60 too. We do not have them now they have been replaced. Not everyone has the same budget so the decisions we make are based on our own circumstances.

Re: Considering my first Alpina

The parts department at Sytner Nottingham are very helpful and have decent knowledge, they give some discount I had receive 10% from them. Dan Cootes at Barons BMW Cambridge will give 15% discount. Lancaster BMW Milton Keynes give 15% to BMW Car Club members.
