There are no restrictions on number, this is a first time, so we shall have to see how it pans out but as there are so few gatherings we must try something. It was a shame for me the CPC meeting clashed with another car commitment myself and three other ALPINA owners attended.

Sincere apologies for not attending, and disappointed to miss another meet.

I set out this morning and after about 10 miles, I got my first ever Engine fault light on the dash and it went into limp mode, so I SLOWLY returned home, where I interrogated the OBD and got just one code of P0301.

After about 4 engine restarts the fault cleared from the dash, but P0301 is still showing when I read the OBD.
The car now appears to be running fine !
I strongly suspect a fouled plug as I haven't been using the car recently, but I guess it could also be a sticky injector.
I am unsure whether the now apparently 'old' code will clear itself after a while, and I will have it fully diagnosed by BMW at Bedford this coming week anyway.

Finally, sorry to miss the meet.

It was a super turn out, thanks to all those who came. There are pictures on the FB group ALPINA owners UK. The new B5 touring was really fantastic, but the range of cars was great right back to the E30 C2 2.7 which was brought by a Gent from Great Dunmow. I thought that I might be the only person who came from a distance, but we have people from Brighton, Guildford, London, South End on Sea, Leicester, St Neots, Northampton & Milton Keynes. That was a good mixture of cars and locations. OH and Worcestershire sorry Phil.

Many, many thanks to those who came and made it a good day!

I am sorry I did not take the photographs, that was a gent called Alan Dewick. They will appear with an article in the BMW Car Club Mag in August 19.
