I expect some of you use your older Alpina as a daily driver and was wondering how you get on with regards to an agreed value.

Ours is a 1997 B3-3.2 and our thoughts have been to use it on a daily basis, so we have a standard policy with A-Plan. But we are now thinking what would happen in the event of an accident!

After all it is a 97 car and in the insurers eyes it would be scrap even after a minor shunt would it not?

Just wondering if any of you have an agreed value on a standard policy.

Thanks Charles. I will look into that with A-plan then. If they cant do it then we will move insurers and bugger the cost.

Thanks hap. I had no idea you could use a classic as a daily driver and still have an agreed value. In the past we have only used our classics on a special classic limited mileage policy. It looks like some will lower the bar on that. We are looking for up to 8,000 miles. Maybe as high as 10,000

I will investigate.

Agreed value, 20k miles pa and premium of 180 - it's all possible if you ask the right questions.

Thanks Charles. That does sound a very good price for 20,000 miles. I hope we can find a deal as good as that. There is no way we intend doing that kind of mileage. Even including our trips to Germany.
