Silverstone Classic - 25/26 July 2026

I have just had an email advising that CarFest early bird tickets go on sale on Wednesday 15th October at 8am.

I shall not be going but hope this is of use to some as the deal seems pretty decent.

I just took a look at the Car fest website for 2026. Zero mention of car racing. mention of "more cars", no specific information of what. However "buy your ticket now". The majority of images are of Music goers, children and activities non car related.

In the years I attend Car Fest with my vehicle it declined badly in respect of the presence of cars. The Sporting bears did charity runs, the static display of cars were from car clubs and groups of enthusiasts. There was little interest from the general public as their prams and pushchairs edged ever nearer the owners vehicles whilst chocolate cover fingers from young children glided over the polished paint work.

One year we discovered a parent who thought it would be good for his child to sit on the bonnet of a display vehicle, when requested the child was removed he responded with "what's your problem they are owned by BMW mate". I am uncertain if he was responsible for leaving a beer can can beaker on top of another vehicle a year later.

Believe me this never an equivalent to the Silverstone Classic or Silverstone Festival as we have known it over the last 10 to 20 years. Whilst we have no specific information about either events Car Fest or the rearranged Classic, I would hate for anyone to go and be disappointed to the extent they didnt want to be there and that where I ended up with Car Fest.

It appears there is still little or no info regarding the Classic, based on the views here it would be the only event there that I would be interested in attending

I was told from a person who runs a non BMW cars club that they have had no official information from either Silverstone or Goose Events or any other party thus far re this event. This is surprising as the Car Fest (poorly named) event is getting max publicity.

Update - It now appears this event will take place and the Car clubs will be invited. There was an announcement from Silverstone a couple of days ago.

That’s promising although for an attendance it may mean signing up to the BMWCCGB, I hope Alpinaregister gets the open invitation again….cough….cough, a chance to catch up on track I suspect would be too much

Yes I think you may be right, lets see if the BMWCC maintain an open invite to all ALPINA owners. I am making plans for summer 2026 though so the later its left the less chance there is of being able to make it. Maybe its time for a change.........

I had(as I am sure others did) an email from Silverstone saying the event is now called the BRDC Classic. It said register your interest to see what the programme of events are.

Usually before 31.12.25 it has been advertised and car clubs have a code and tickets can be purchased with a discount. This is currently not the case and we have passed 31.12.25 and still no information.

I contacted the BMWCCGB but they have no inside information, so Silverstone get your act together!

I Agree with Norman, for the last 7 years I've had a ticket bought and the date booked in by now. At the moment these dates are free, but we are booking our Family holiday in the next few weeks so as this is in the School Holidays there is a good chance it will clash with Holiday plans.

Lots of noise about CarFest - or should I say Music and Food Fest. Still heard nothing about what the Car element is of CarFest. Looks like both events are not going to be in my diary this year.

Car Fest or as I now call it Car Pest. Zero interest to me, music, cooking, kids events has zero to do with cars and I would suggest the vast majority who attend could not tell a robin reliant from a Bentley.
