Hi
What do people use if trying to get long term carbon off exhaust tips?
Saw this mentioned on the www - any good?

Sounds brutal but Brillo pads with lots of water work very well. Doesn't scratch the chrome either, patience and gentle rubbing is all that's needed.

Kitchen foil works very well with a little water on any steel tip exhaust

I just use Servisol metal polish and a lot of elbow grease

I remember I cleaned the exhaust on my E39 B10 by following this video:
