Sophisto Grey B5 Touring (Collecting Cars)

Post by _Jamie » Tue Nov 07, 2023 11:46 pm

A lovely covert spec sophisto grey without any decals with mokka interior, clear glass and chrome kidney grills. I’m sure this would surprise 9/10 drivers on the motorway. I wouldn’t usually say grey is an Alpina colour, but this is lovely with the combination. https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/202 ... b5-touring

I really like this. Interior looks great. Price is already up there considering there are still 5 days to go. Must be a fair bit of interest. I have 5 days to save up!

It's lovely, but a touring really needs to have a pano roof in my opinion.

Less weight on the roof though, that never hurts! It only sold for £65k which seems like outrageous value.. unless I’m just being extremely bias :D

£68.5k final bid by "Mart" + 6% buyers premium.
Briefly thought about it myself when it was in the 50s, not as well spec'd as 336 plus the devil you know..... etc
Factory tow hitch was a rare and useful addition and half my miles!
Would benefit from full detailing, possible brake pads and a proper service i.e. not by a dealer!
Nice externally, very understated, Mokka interior is both stylish and practical.
Wonder if it will turn up on a forecourt for 80K or a new owner will surface here?

I agree, it was very much a sleeper car. I agree about the devil you know too though. I’ve seen photos of yours through the “what have you done to your Alpina” thread and it’s lovely.

Let’s hope for the latter! It’s frustrating seeing these cars being snapped up by dealers only to be resold for a premium to some other poor person.
