Thanks Will for your kind words, I can assure fellow Alpina members that the first person to view the vehicle will most certainly buy it. Kind regards

Hi yes there was comments about the servicing as you can appreciate it is an online auction and a certain car trader was trying to spoil the auction and devalue the car out of bitterness in the last few hours before the end of the auction as I respectfully declined their insulting offers on the vehicle.

Every question regarding the vehicle was answered truthfully in the auction and all the receipts have been uploaded in the documents section too of the work carried out to the vehicle by my father. With my father carrying out the work I have peace of mind that the maintenance is undertaken to a very high standard as he very meticulous. My fathers has over 30 years experience as a motor mechanic and he has a diploma in Automobile Engineering and Management qualification. As explained my father does not have a registered business as he works from his home garage and he has accounts with local car supplier’s which have been ongoing for 30 year’s plus.

I understand that as the car has had full main dealer history from new it made sense to maintain that. However the last couple of experiences I had at my local main dealers was very bad and witnessing apprentices undertaking work on my car, therefore my father serviced the vehicle for me. I can confirm I did not have the vehicle serviced by a local BMW specialist as I have only ever used BMW in the past and the ‘stamp’ doesn’t hold the same clout as the main dealer maintenance to some people.

The servicing parts used on the vehicle were Mahle and Mann filters which are OEM brands that supply BMW, as BMW/Alpina don’t make their own filters, this is contracted out.

The vehicle is actually as described and I can confirm it is a genuine vehicle that has been very well maintained. My reserve has been lowered and if anyone is genuinely interested, pm me and we can discuss the details.

For peace of mind for any people who are interested I welcome any independent inspection on the vehicle.

Hope this helps.
After reading the comments and your answers on the auction, and now reading the advert text I think the issue taken by some is in the slightly misleading description re the whole Aftab garage bit.

I don't honestly think many would doubt the credentials of your fathers competence, the correct parts used and the care taken. It wouldn't bother me.

What I can see as being a contentious point is the way the advert states things like 'the technicians at Aftab motors' and the aftab motors stamp - implying the work was carried out at an industrial garage by one of a number of 'technicians' where in reality it was carried out at a home garage by a qualified mechanic.

Its as if you are trying to gloss over the fact it's been home serviced. Trying to make it sound more of a professional setup so as not to alienate any fastidious buyers

As mentioned I don't think too many would be put off by the reality but the fact it's been described in such a way and also has the booked stamped implying its a professional vat registered garage has made many suspicious.

It makes one think or wonder if anything else has been over described or even casts doubt over your integrity as a genuine seller.

If the advert/auction just stated that during your ownership your fully qualified father lovingly and meticulously serviced it then you would have avoided the auction turning into a dogs dinner imho.

I'd have been making that element a positive instead of hiding away from it. I think you played it all wrong personally mate.

Hi mate no its not sold. I asked CC to remove it and I have advertised the vehicle on autotrader. I’m hoping it will be a quicker sale as it is private and the buyer will avoid auction fees too. Regards
