Green Alpina B10 3.3

Post by B10BRW » Fri May 27, 2022 4:38 pm

Just seen a B10 3.3 on Autotrader advertised as Jamaican Green  .
As far as I know the nearest Alpina got to the Caribbean for colour on the 3.3 were the 2 B10s in Barbados Green :D
I think the one advertised is No. 60

Don't think so Bob, the one in Autotrader has grey leather, 138 has Stone Green leather.
From what I can remember 138 was owned by a German guy called Ollie, met him with his B10 several times and he kept it immaculate and had nowhere near that mileage.
Ollie and his car were well known on the sadly defunct BMW forum, which I think was BMW land.
I am sure the one for sale must be No. 60

As this one is an LCI, it can't be #060. #060 also hasn't had a valid MOT since 2017.

Just contacted the current owner who said he found it abandoned in a garden in Birmingham 5 years ago, needing an awful lot of work.
Asked him to check the chassis plate, which he had not noticed in 5 years :think
Once he found it he did confirm that it was 138.
Sad really that the owner/s after Ollie let it get in such a state.

He reckoned apart from a few minor bodywork issues it was in fine condition.
All mechanicals were good, and anyway anything that went wrong would not cost more than £300 to fix

I was the second owner following Olli. Both of us continued with the 'money no object' fastidious approach to maintenance. I ran it for 5 years from 97k to 190k miles as my daily until p/x'ing at Sytners for the D3 in 2017. How it ended up abandoned in a garden 5 years ago is a mystery.

That’s confusing as if this is same car atoe spoke about then miles has reduced from 190k to 123k, or is it a different car?

Now dropped to £7k, quite a fall from the £18k the seller started at.

Presentation of some of these cars by dealers is appalling isn’t it!
