E92 B3 Biturbo #185

Post by hooneybadger » Thu Sep 16, 2021 6:43 pm

Just came across 185 on AT, has anyone any knowledge of the history of the car since the previous poster The Watchmaker let it go last year? The previous work done by Barry looks great but would be good to know of the last 18 months or so of history. Forum thoughts on the price too, much appreciated as I'm new to the older car values.

You won’t go far wrong with this it’s got a lot of option retro fitted, price was a few k below asking price now but taking into account car prices it’s thereabouts, there is a cheaper black one on pistonheads but no ideas if the consumable have been dealt with whereas Barry old one has from what i remember

The watchmaker px'd it for a gold with some dealer up near Cambridge then it popped up on FB with someone who had bought it so I assume it that person sold it/px'd it to the current dealer.

I did a lot of work to that car if you read my thread on it, was a great example and I only sold it to buy my M4.

The roundels need to go back on in place of the ebay Alpina badges though!

Yes bought it from a customer who ran in to money problems and couldn't pay their bill. I've taken a deposit on the E39 M5 touring I built so had space for the B5.
