The Alpina specific paint is £1740 Bob  and it’s £2k if you want the Classic wheels n’all. Using the 14kg unsprung mass saving of the forged items in the man maths calculation is a bit iffy in a 2 tonne family wagon.

This might sound frivolous but the CNC milled aluminium paddles (&280) are worth it - at least for me. They’re the nicest paddle shifters I’ve ever used and way better than anything BMW puts in any standard car. Perhaps not one for the Alpina purist who likes a nipple, mind.

The game BMW plays with the lights is one of the most annoying ones they play. You may not want or need adaptive lights (the cheaper of the two upgrade options) or laser lights but if you don’t spec them then the DRL’s are the slightly “cheaper” looking variety. That, the lack of lumbar support as standard and the base seat option being fake leather/Alcantara grinds my gears.

Sorry, maybe I should’ve been a little clearer, but I was trying to show what “extra” costs could be added to the spec of this particular car for an everything spec. It’s already got Classics and the Dravit Grey is £1.1k so the £640 is just the extra on that to get ALPINA paint. Similarly, I’d knocked off the £1k cost of Vernasca leather from the Merino/Lavalina options and Driving Assistant Pro £1k is the extra over Driving Assistant that it already has.

👍🏽

I probably should have been able to work that out.
