Congratulations Marc. Welcome to the exclusive D5 touring club. I am sure you will love it! I’ve clocked up another 320 miles in mine today. It’s a great way to travel. Amazingly comfortable, loads of space, unbelievably fast and economical.

Thanks, its a lovely thing! The only other options i'd have liked are HK & a towbar but beggars cant be choosers with these things!

Thanks Bob, yes the Alpina badges had to go, so Sytner happily fitted new roundels before i collected.
The original pair of roundels are still in the glove box too!

Did you see the post from Waitey yesterday? I’m worried that you will pull the minnow in half the way you tow!

Yes, might have to fit a new heavy duty Alko hitch to the trailer as a precaution!

Don't beat yourself up on the HK, as I am sure it was not an option for cars our age, pre-LCI. The owner I bought from suggested at the time he ordered that the B&O and HK were not available to him as options. I can see from a Sytner B5 build configurator dated Nov 12 that B&O was then available at an eye watering £3,750!

Luckily I managed to get a car with towbar.

I should add, enjoy the car - they are great fun.

Regards towbar i did try to contact the owner of #123 (the other known towbar equipped F11 D5) through Car&Classic but no response.
I think my enquiries possibly asked too many questions...
