B5GT price reduction

Post by B10BRW » Thu Jul 11, 2024 4:54 pm

Bramley have knocked a whopping £16k off the asking rice for the B5GT touring :D

Still way too rich for me :(

I thought they sold this? Unless they’ve had another come into stock?

This is another car - previous was BRG with Lavalina II. This one is ALPINA Green with full Merino.

Bramley have sold some of the nicest nearly new examples ALPINA of late, kudos to the buyers.

Sytner now have one in their showroom, asking £155k.
Has possibly the worst PPF I’ve seen in a long time, as it only goes a quarter of the way up the bonnet leaving a distinct line. Very odd look indeed.

Any guesstimate on how much premium there is on the current Sytner one over its original selling price from new (if any)? Only idle curiosity since its well out of my price bracket!! :boohoo

It is under list price, but only by a couple of £k.

I think it is well over list - going off the Sytner advert for the specification and adding the missing SPG and shadowline I get it to a mere £142280 list.
With the GT, the Alpina green, high performance brakes, CNC paddles, embossed headrests, HSW and HK were included and full Merino was only £750 extra.
So, ignoring the ceramic coating and PPF, they’ve added on well over £10k which makes sense to me, as I think they will be following the Bramley pricing on the two they sold. The first sold quite quickly, the second took a few weeks but they were both advertised well north of £150k.
Makes the still rare standard B5 touring, which I much prefer, look spectacular value (relatively) when then appear for sale!

I had the build sheet sent over when they were getting it in, but I must admit I’m not a fan of the gold wheels and blacked out grilles or the leather/piping combination. The advert doesn’t really reflect the options on the car very well IMO - over £32k. Just under half of this is the Lavalina interior 2. Over £160k new.

Interesting. Thanks for the response, the advert isn't particularly great then..... I was reckoning about 20k over list based on very rough beermat calcs.

I don't mind the looks/colours combos etc, though justifying the extra £95k over the very pretty blue pre-LCI one that has been advertised on here and pistonheads would challenge my manmaths skills. Thank goodness I haven't won the Euromillions and therefore don't have to deal with this struggle for real !! :D

The adverts are consistently incompetent. This B5 is standard merino. I told Matt, Gary and Alex this time last year that Sytner have a B3 and a B4 advertised as D3/4’s amongst other various other errors - Stevenage are yet to sell their now over a year old brand new D3S touring for £97180 primarily because it is actually a B3.
Meanwhile, Solihull are striving to sell a 2023 B4S advertised as a D4S for £90k over a year later. That is over a year that these cars have been advertised as diesel when they are petrol after I had highlighted the error to the three main Alpina Uk people in November 2023.

Their ad says “full individual Tartufo” but they have sent you a (16k) Lavallina 2 build sheet. Crikey Moses. The pics are defo Tartufo.

Agree with you on this, I've got it booked in for a full PPF installation in Jan :)

Well done, it really did need a full detail and the PPF sorting out.

Did you trade in a Medio Grey B5, as Sytner mentioned one was coming in..?

I did indeed, should have arrived in Nottingham today. Had it for just under 2 years and loved everything about it bar the colour :)
