There’s usually a few kicking about, some specifics might be helpful: fuel, bodystyle, budget

I too am in the market, more specifically for an F31 and am scanning the classifieds daily. One with the panaromic roof, memory seats and Harmon Kardon is a must.

Thank you for that, it looks an excellent example but the mileage is a little high unfortunately. I’m looking to keep this car as my daily for many years to come.

If you plan to keep long term, I wouldn't be put off with 91K. Condition and maintenance history is a better guide. Alpinas are built to take the miles - just ask Charles...360K and rising on his B3s which is his daily drive!

I daily drive an 09 335d touring which is at 176K and hasn't let me down. The key is shorter service intervals than the computer indicates - circa 8-10K and no longer than 2 years would be my advice.

Hope that helps,

Mike

There was a B10 Touring on Car and Classic recently too. 3.3 manual IIRC.
Never not on the hunt for a petrol Alpina Touring - B3 or B3S preferred but B5 series considered

Recently I've been thinking about selling my F31, but the biggest issues are the ridiculous cost to change and the fact the the D3 is almost the perfect all rounder. Difficult to justify the 'upgrade'.

I appreciate that. This next purchase will be definitely be a ‘long termer’, given we’ll probably all be driving round in non-ICE, inevitably less enjoyable cars in 10 years time! Feel free to get in touch if you do decide to sell. :)

Hi Matt,

I think we were initially looking for an F31 around the same time in 2019. I sold mine early last year, but I’m now having the same dilemma. I am hoping to get into a G21 at some point, but I am reluctant to jump in now as they haven’t followed the typical Alpina depreciation curve. I do appreciate that the used car market has been very different over the past few years.

Cheers

We were indeed. I had my F30 D3 at the time, but really wanted a touring. Fortunate to find mine and I picked it up 3 days into the first lock down! It's just a great car, and if I do decide to sell, it'll be a tough act to follow.

PM me some details if you're serious Matt, I'm also in/around Warwick btw! currently in a S205 C63 Estate but have always wanted a D3 Touring.
