F11 B5's are proper ellusive. Of the 7 UK cars, 2 have never been spotted to my knowedge and the last one for sale was #145 (ex-Bramley's) back in 2016. Maybe that means there'll be a flood of them to market soon! :think
There was another one on eBay a couple of months back for mid 20's - black - if I recall correctly. Rare indeed.
A B5 Touring? I definitely missed that then. And mid £20’s would be an absolute steal unless it’s galactic mileage.
Yes black and was a 2012 plate. For sale around Preston. Might have been £27k or so and if I'm not mistaken on some 80k miles. I was tempted myself

The one on eBay was probably the D5 that Ribble Valley had for sale. They are near Preston.

#145 the ex-Bramley F11 B5 is a great spec, I love the Lavalina Amaro Brown interior. It would certainly tempt me from parting with my F31.

We're at cross purposes then, I was on about the petrol B5's rather than D5's

Yes, interested to hear your observations, if you see it. I’ve never seen another one in the flesh either!
D5 prices don’t seem to have risen then, whereas used cars generally have increased. There’s time, I suppose for Sytner to up the asking price on this.

Is it normal for d5 tourings not to have roof rails? Do they have the four bolt system that you get on salon cars?

It’s a big price premium (10k plus) over my newer 2015 530d sport touring - price of rarity I guess and I totally get the Alpina touches and suspension genius but are they really that much better to justify the price?

Yes: Alpina F11s do not have roof rails as standard.

Alpina clientele (new model owners) are generally beyond the point of needing to carry a box on the roof. The Touring is for wine and you Fedex any large items to your destination.

As above, the roof rails were £200 for Black or £250 for High Gloss or Aluminum on the F11 D5's.

Whether you intend to use them or not, imo Tourings look wrong without roof bars.

I tend to agree - maybe a possible retro fit?

Don't know what it's like on the F11 but certainly on my E36 it would be quite involved: remove headliner and drilling holes in the roof skin at least.

Ok so ignoring my roof rail issue, the price seems high compared to others that have sold, it being 4 owners and struggling to sell over the last 15 months. Spec is ok but doesn’t have much over normal - except sun roof but no comfort seats etc.

Is it worth the premium?
