B4 Convertible #079 - Coming Soon

Post by Avtar » Thu Jan 18, 2024 4:29 pm

Hi All,
So I have decided, probably around Spring time, to sell my B4 Convertible #079 after almost 3 years. I am waiting for the weather to improve so that I can give it a proper detail as it was last detailed and ceramic Coated in August 2021. I also need to sort a couple of minor wheel scuffs and ensure I have a year’s MOT, current MOT is until 02/05/2024 . The reason for the sale is that I now want a B5, or ideally a B7.

I purchased the car in April 2021 with a mileage of 44,602 and it currently has 51200, it will see some light usage over the coming months. I has the Alpina COC Certificate and is ULEZ exempt.

The car has had 3 previous owners and was Sytners Press car.

It also has the extended BMW Warranty with an excess of £250, it is on Direct Debit and I understand that it can be taken on by the new owner if they so wish.

Details:

• First Registered 25/04/2016
• Metallic Imperial Blue Xirallic
• Oyster Dakota Leather
• Alpina Classic 20” Wheels

Optional Equipment

• Adaptive Suspension
• Air Collar (£360)
• Air Conditioning with extended features
• Alarm
• Alpina Model Designation
• Alpina Floor Mats
• Alpina Piano Black with Insignia (£340)
• Alpina Switch-Tronic Steering Wheel with Multifunction (Lavalina Blue/Green Stitching)
• DAB Radio
• Enhanced Bluetooth with USB Interface and Voice Control
• Extended Lighting
• Exterior Mirrors folding and auto dimming (£300)
• Exterior parts in body colour
• Head-Up Display (£825)
• Anthracite Headlining
• Interior trim finishers Pearl Chrome
• Loudspeaker Harmon Kardon (£675)
• Lumbar Support for Driver & Passenger (£265)
• Media Package BMW Professional
• PDC Front & Rear
• Rain Sensor with automatic headlight activation
• Alpina rear spoiler
• Electric Front Seats with memory
• Heated Fron Seats
• Split-Fold rear seat (£170)
• Variable Sport Steering
• Wind Deflector with Alpina Imprint (£265)

During my ownership I have done the following:

• Added Silver Alpina Decals (£356 + £150 fitting)
• Installed Thinkware U100 4K Dash Cam (with a battery backup) (£554)
• New rear boot struts
• Changed both rear quarter rubber window seals. (One needed changing and did the other as a precaution) (£244)
• It also comes with BMW rubber mats

Maintenance

Last Service was Oil, Microfilter & Brake Fluid on 17/06/2022

The Vehicle Status shows the following:

• Brake Fluid 06/2024
• Engine Oil 06/2024
• Front Brake Pads 10000 miles
• Rear Brake Pads 41000 miles

The issue is that I need assistance with is the valuation, the nearest comparison I have is the Coupe B4 #139 which had 49K and was advertised for £29900. However, I am not sure if the Convertible would carry a premium or not?

Thanks in advance

There aren’t many b5’s around at the moment, I would contact Alex at Nottingham and see if he knows of any that might be coming to the market.
B5 G30 number 332 (development car)

D5 number 21

D3MT number 284 (gone but will be sadly missed)

You are correct, however, I am hoping that by the time I sell there will be, if not I am happy to wait until one comes along as I have the B3S rolling restoration to keep me going.

When I was after the B4 I just waited until one appeared and then jumped on it as I had the funds.
