Alpina B6s E64 - BACK UP FOR SALE

Post by robmarrs » Sun Nov 06, 2022 10:07 am

Back up for sale as buyer had to withdraw for family reasons

After much deliberation the time has come to part with my much loved 2008 B6S Convertible.

This is one of the rarer Alpina Models that you can aquire, with only 3 in the UK at the moment and one of those has not been seen for many years. Total production run of 40 cars built. It will be a solid investment for the next owner, it will probably not depreciate and may even go up in value being so rare.

I have owned this car since 2015, having sold my E46 B3s to aquire it. It was my dream car, but life is changing for me so it is time for somebody else to enjoy and care for this fantastic beast. Folder with invoices etc and SH is present along with original book pack and two sets of keys. It has done approx 18k miles in my ownership, including a number of trips to Southern France. When I use it it has been for trips where the oil gets properly warmed up to help protect the supercharger. The previous owner to me was a Solicitor who bought it as an AU BMW from Sytner Nottingham and he put most of the mileage on the car in his two or so years of ownership, he chopped in a B5 to buy this and only got £10k part ex for it!

MOT until August 2023.
Mileage 102500

The B6s has the the latter H7 4.4 Supercharged engine with 523 HP and 535 FT/LB of Torque, top speed is quoted as 192mph. The S version benefits from EDC and a much improved Sport Switch-Tronic 6 speed Getrag Auto Box. The B6s also features a Carbon Fibre Bonnet, which is a work of art and not seen since the 850 B12 5.7 or since!

Car has had a recent battery, the alternator has been replaced and the gearbox has had a precautionary oil and filter change...... BMW say it is sealed for life..... yeah right! In my ownership it has only ever been serviced by my Local Independant BMW Specialists, Munich Motors or Phil @ CPC in Amersham. The correct engine oil filter has been fitted on evey service that I have done. The supercharger was changed under warranty early on in its history by Synters in Sunningdale. It has had Zimmerman Performance Drilled discs and Pads fitted all round, which I imported from Germany pre Brexit,...... there is much debate over discs for the B5/B6 and S models, it took me alot of research to find an alternative to the horrendously expensive Alpina items which would have been nearly £2k at the time.

I have also changed the CCC entertainment computer to the later CIC system with widescreen etc and fitted a Dension Gateway ipod connection.

Whilst in overal good condition for its age, it does have stone chips in places and the drivers seat bolster has the normal wear showing. Everything works as it should. Oil service and brake fluid change was completed on 23/01/2023

The private plate has been removed, it can be purchased for an additional £2000 ono. It suited me and the car rather well being a Robin, so I always read it as "ROBS BEAST OF A B6S" The original reg is now back on the car, this being CU08OAV

I am looking for £29000 ono ideally, but any sensible offers from an enthusiast will be seriously considered.

You can call me on 07976 366817 for a chat or to arrange a viewing

PiCS are a few years old, as the weather at the moment is not conducive to taking any photos

I did indeed sell mine earlier this year, luckily to another Alpina enthusiast. Robs car is lovely, I’m sure any prospective new owner would be lucky to get it. Gratuitous pic of when both of our cars were together at a previous Sytner meet. Stratos Grey is a great colour, always changing in the light.
