Maybe the reason this escaped all the known vehicles is it's V5c has it as the uber rare ALPINA motor caravan. They don't show anywhere in the build info  . Now I know earlier ALPINA are registered as some odd things, but the first I've seen as a motor caravan! :doh

Other than the OP's noted areas, looks decent apart from the bargain tyres: easily improved on at first glance to produce a tidy example. Little evidence of the usual E46 corrosion hotspots,

Cheers

More importantly, how is it attached?

Will this leave a mark on the paintwork or hole in the bonnet once removed?

I pm’d the OP, he indicated he was hoping to achieve £8k for it.

Factoring in the work I would like to carry out it, unfortunately it wasn’t for me.

The mascots are normally drilled and then attached with screws, an old boss always had a spider mascot on his cars.

Presuming if it has had a suspension refresh at some point in it's life then £8k is a bit of a bargain for an E46 Facelift B3.
Sorting out the minor cosmetics and 4 x new boots would see some one £10k into a very capable and understated car. I'd be all over it in a rash if I didn't have the sister car #108

but if not and no HG then youre easily into >4k which makes it look like poor value compared to the S that finally sold through CC which cosmetically was much tidier

It’s hard to tell from the pics so not sure how it really compares, but last I’d heard #089 was being separately negotiated outside the auction where the reserve was set at £7k. Not sure a sale ever got agreed but it sounded like the number being discussed was south of the reserve.

Are head gaskets typically an issue with 3.3’s? Thought their Achilles heel was high oil consumption, but that usually affects earlier cars.
