i suppose I could Mark- but at the end of the day yes I think unless someone else stepped up to the roll that's exactly what would happen..

in the latest issue of BMW Car Magazine (Jan 2007) There's a mention for our own little website and forum... in the webwatch section (looks like the revamp has got some attention..

the D3 has also made it into the top 6 cars of the year feature

some good photography too in this months mag

glad you liked it Tony... but imo and i'm sure Neil feels the same.. creating and maintaining the site is one thing.. but it wouldn't be the site and community it is - without all of the members and the combined knowledge

There's a snippet about the D3 in January's BMW Car in the Car of the Year article (it came 3rd behind the 335i Coupe and the 335d Touring) and there's also a good 1/2 page write-up on the register web site too.

Andy, Charles and Neil well done for monitoring and maintainence the web site.
Finally I got a copy of BMW car magazine which states that the web site is excellent and a must for those who want to become one of the Alpina glen.
A big thank you to all who contrlbutes and express their opinions. Keep up all the good works. :D :D :D :D :D (that including myself)

An excellent write up and all credit in the main to Neil and Andy and generally to all members of the Register who continue to amaze me with the quality of their posts and the respect for others on the site..

Just a shame that they say that the site is provided by BMWCC - but that's a small gripe.

Exactly. The Register received the write up it deserved.

Just out of interest Neil, have you noticed any significant increases in the amount of traffic to the site around the time that article was published?

Two Alpina E30s in this month Total BMW. A B6 3.5 which started life as a 2.8, and a four door C2.7.

Just added the following to the news section on the main site (had a quick check and couldn't see this mentioned (it may well be - just couldn't see it)

Anyhow back in June last year Autocar tested the fastest cars of the year.

Included were among others the Z4M Roadster, M5, M6 and B6

The test is 0-100-0

15th Z4M Roadster - 15.95secs
14th V8 Vantage - 15.81secs
13th Audi RS4 - 15.80secs
12th M5 - 15.20secs
11th TVR Tuscan 2 - 15secs
10th BMW M6 - 14.95secs
9th ALPINA B6 - 14.80secs
8th Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - 13.80secs
7th Ascari KZ1 - 13.80secs
6th Lamborghini Gallardo - 13.65secs
5th Porsche 911 Turbo - 12.50secs
4th Brooke Double R - 12.50secs
3rd Caterham CSR 260 Superlight - 11.95secs
2nd Ariel Atom 300 - 11.00secs
1st Bugatti Veyron - 9.90secs
