Read the article yesterday and must admit that i thought it was brilliant, an ideal insight into Alpina and what they are all about also
included was some past history.

Thanks Andy for a read.

Are you doing any more soon, got to keep the stock level of Meguires
at a decent level aint you

at the min i'e got a small back log of articles to write..

E90 330d sport saloon
E60 M5 Saloon
Geneva Motor Show report

all of which i had hoped to have done by now.. just that the day job is getting in the way..

As for ALPINA specific reviews - I'm working on getting a B5 for a short while to do a back to back comparrision against the M5 as it's been a while since I drove the B5 (will prob wait till the new model comes out in late summer)

and we're also planning on getting an early drive in the new B3 Bi-Turbo so keep watching this space.

Great write up Andy - as always.

It is always worth the wait for your articles

BTW I have submitted a Running Report to BMWCC Magazine which should appear in the next edition - or so Jeff tells me!

Mr. Stucliffe has put a small report together about his D3 in this weeks Autocar - its only a side column.

[spoiler] basically he's found a flaw in the car - seems he's found a slight glitch in higher gears at certain revs - where there is a hesitation - he's done just under 5k and has noticed this 4-5 times. Apart from that he's marked the car down from the previous 100% rating to 98.,9% !

The article states that the problem lies between 2150 & 2180rpm :!:

Not sure how accurate the revcounter is in the D3 nor how tongue in cheek Mr Sutcliffe is being.

Perhaps the answer is to keep the revs up :D

I reckon he has nervous twitch in his right peg

Granted I've only done 1500 so far but no incidence of this..
