A good Alpina turnout today at the Pistonheads Sunday Service, which was a short drive away for me at the BMW UK HQ in Farnborough.

It was great to see them all and hopefully I didn't miss any.

You missed yours! Good to see you James (and the other familiar faces, and new ones)

That V8 S pictured sounds crazy loud these days.

Somewhat foolishly I forgot to take a picture of mine! Good to see you too, albeit briefly.

Thanks for the number, I've now edited my original post. I didn't hear it running but it certainly looked in very good shape. It has made me realise though that I know very little about the E39 V8 Alpinas, I suspect because they are older (so not daily material) but strong money (so not inexpensive 2nd car material) and thus not in my consideration set.

James, the E46 (FN04HVL) is B3S #233

Do you recall the reg for the silver D3? Guessing it was FJ57CVN which is #447. Other options were FJ57CVV which was Sparkling Graphite D3 originally. FJ57CVW was Black Sapphire
