Black E39 B10 V8 at BM Automotive

I dropped my car off for a service this morning and was greeted by an E39 B10 on the carpark. Apparently they are expecting a D3 in later too, so three Alpinas in the workshop.

Anyone here?

Interesting spot Paul ... as I was told it, there's quite a story to this one:

It's V8/1 #198

Sent to another garage for repair in 2014
Garage went bust
Owner could not retrieve car
Couldn't chase down the “owners of bust garage”
Told the owner of the garage your at the story, he had heard of a B10 somewhere locally, in bits
Sent the owner to look, turned out it was his car
Somehow, retook possession in Apr-21 this year.
Car was in bits
Owner brought it to this garage & is gradually putting the bits back together.

The chap who told me that has an RS that he takes there for servicing too.

Ah right - when I popped to sound them out a few months back, we got chatting about Alpinas and he mentioned this story. I did wonder if it might be that car.

They do seem to have quite a few Alpinas through the workshop which gave me a good feeling. Apparently mine is all sorted now so I'll be off to collect shortly. Fingers crossed!
