Yes, careful there I've used them twice since the return to self-determination. No changes to service and quality, and still the same owner and staff and in the same location. I noticed you had a set of dynamics re done by Lepsons, i take it that this is prestige now from other posts. Out of interest it looks like you removed the valve stems before sending them. Mine are like a brass sort of material and i would like to paint them too. Have you painted your valve stems and if so what did you use??
Those wheels are looking stunning Charles and your B3 has certainly been your faithful steed for some time
I may get another B3 one day but for now its the D3 BiTurbo.
Great results on the wheels and I can not wait to get mine refurbished
Regards
Kev

Just returned with the B7 having had all four 21s refurbished by Platinum in Swindon.
I supplied new roundels and they refurbed both the alloys and the centre caps, installing the roundels and even fitting new foam pads (without asking).
I'm over the moon with them, they are all perfect and brings the car one step closer to the completion of its make over.
Highly recommended!

Not quite yet chap, mid August I'd say. Suffice to say it will look as good as new having had a lot of bodywork completed and new badges, emblems, trim etc where required.
After all that it will probably go up for sale along with the F10 550 as I don't drive at all these days (the commute is now by plane).

well here is my view on lepsons wheel refurbers......(from a trade point of view also )
2 weeks ago we sent a sent of diamond cut Porsche wheels to them for full refurbishment due to slight curbing and general corrosion .
, 2 days later we get a phone call saying all 4 wheels have had to be welded and one straightened adding further cost to our quote of £100 per wheel , owner of the car said he had never had a problem with slow punctures and as we had put 2 sets of tyres on this car previously we had never had a problem balancing any of them .
we asked for photo evidence of the extra work they stated had been done as we needed to now try and explain to our customer the extra costs..........we don't take photos of the work we just do it as theres nothing else can be done unless we return your wheels in a dangerous condition, we try and keep the cost as low as possible so as not to impact on the original quotation.
A few days later the wheels turned up at the garage and first impressions were really good , but on closer inspection we found a few fish yes / wax spots in the matt black and even worse was every edge of the diamond cut spokes looked to have been filed to remove some burring from the lathe so from a distance they looked good close up minor faults could be found, i know plenty of people inc myself who would not have accepted them !!!!!!!
Despite this we proceeded on monday to remove and send my Alpina wheels for full refurbishment inc the center caps which had been quoted for over the phone, today we got a phonecall telling us they wanted an extra £40 to do the centre caps (which we had already been quoted to to) and then they proceeded to tell me that 2 wheels needed welding (so extra cost again) and one wheel was a complete write off having been welded numerous times and was so badly buckled they couldn't repair it 100%
Bare in mind after the porsche wheels 3 people double checked these wheels for any signs of damage or any untowards, so 90 yrs or bodyshop experience checked these wheels one of them myself who has owned this car for 5yrs and fit 2 sets of tyres and balanced them twice and driven this car every day and driven it at 150 mph on a couple of occasions with out any noticeable problems .....so we were happy to send them and not expect anymore surprise hidden costs from lepsons.
subsequent to say we asked for them to mark all damage clearly and return them to us for inspection which they said they have a x ray machine that finds the welds as you cant see them ....ha ha i bet.
safe to say after all the good reviews ive seen about them ive not really been impressed

That's interesting feedback. I've had 2 wheels done by them.
The first one was a straight forward refurb and I was very happy with it, although I was a bit disappointed the centre caps were left rough on the inside afterwards as the originals are smooth.
The second wheel had a visible crack so I had a quote for the weld as well and it came back spot on. I'm always very careful to insist on no extra work being done without agreement from me. One of my fronts is in need of a refurb and I planned to use PWS again so I’ll be a little more vigilant this time.

Just got the third wheel back from PAWS that I've had done during the last 3 years. This one was a real state before I sent it off but didn't take any before pics. Here it is back and it's an excellent finish:
THe back of the wheel does have a couple of marks I wouldn't be happy with on the front of course but I don't think they matter as only I will see them.
I will definitely use them again when I decide to get my spare done as that's pretty scruffy even though it's spent 99% of its time in the boot.

Anyone else had recent (2016) experience?
My winter wheels were bought secondhand and had had what I'd describe as a "get them ready for sale as cheaply as possible" refurb. After three years use they are in dire need of a proper refurb and as they'll be coming off soon, I'm looking for somewhere to take them and Swindon is only about 45mins from here.

Re: Lepsons Wheel Refurbishment - A Review
I spoke to Lepsons just recently about my B10 V8 alloys and the price they quoted me 2 years prior has gone up slightly but now they wanted £60 extra for the centre caps whereas before they included them in the main price. Not yet booked it in but not sure there are better options in the South East. I know one of my rims is slightly bent in one place on the inside, not been flagged by anyone as an issue to date, hopefully won't be rejected by them.
