Sam's Detailing - Review

Post by Wellsy » Mon Feb 21, 2022 1:59 pm

Hi guys,

I've been using products from Sam's detailing recently and thought I should share my experience. Firstly the products are excellent. Each time I've used a new product I have been surprised by how good it is.

https://www.samsdetailing.co.uk

I used the leather cleaner and care kit, foaming cleaner with soft bristle brush and conditioning spray. The cleaner made such a difference really taking the leather back to the clean matt finish it should be, then the conditioner sprayed on top helped keep the finish.

Next I ordered a drying towel and honestly their drying towel must be magic or something. Literally I can dry my whole car in a few minutes and not need to wring out the towel at all. No spreading of water across the surface and not getting water logged half way round.

most recent purchase was the Glaze and Ceramic Wax - the Glaze is like a filler which helps hide any small swirls and enhances the shine, its really easy to use. I used one of their polish pads with only a few small pea sized drops and that managed to cover a panel at a time. Instructions say work in until goes clear, then buff off straight away.

Ceramic wax is a really great product, maybe a little harder to apply and needs the right conditions as well as timing. I found I was using it when too cold and it didn't haze up so made it harder to get off. On contacting Sam's detailing though they confirmed it's designed to work best on 5 or 6 degrees plus so anything less than that and it wont haze fully, but will still come off and give protection.

Also used their edgeless micro fiber towels and again excellent product, really soft high quality towels and makes buffing products off a pleasure. (yh I know I find things like this satisfying).

Lastly the customer service is spot on, which is a rarity these days. My last order the bottle of Glaze had cracked and was leaking within 48hrs they had shipped a replacement bottle FOC. No issues.

So all in all I'm finding them really great both as a customer and in using the products.

Cheers all, Mark.

I think you will find Mark is just being helpful for those of us who like to self-detail. He's like that :)

Nice write up Mark. They are good products. He (Sam the owner) has a lot of passion for his products and puts a lot of love making them. Another brand I'm loving at the momemt is 26jpn. They are new but found that they are the best quality product I have used (and I've used a lot of brands over the years). Appreciate the share. Defo love their microfiber Towel too

:D :D No No - I just think once you find a good company or a company that is passionate about its products and its customers its worth a share :D :D
Maybe I should ask Sam for a discount code for anyone Alpina related....

Also for me its a huge frustration at the moment in the retail environment where customer service seems to have been forgotten. Its almost like the customer is an inconvenience to the staff, So when I find people be it a restaurant, a shop or a business in general that have not forgotten I like to spread the word.
