BMW Wheel Colours

Post by JohnW » Sat Jul 11, 2020 7:09 pm

Aware that Alpina use “Sparkle Silver”, it seems to have different colours and meaning for different paint manufacturers. I couldn’t match mine after trying 2 different “sparkle wheel silver” aerosols, the nearest I’ve found was Reflexsilber A44, but I’m unsure if the wheels had been refurbished in the past.

For the record I found a list of BMW Factory wheel colours:

1. Felgensilber (144)- all silver rims up to 2006 (E46)
- #51912160221
2. Reflexsilber (A44)- E6x, E8x, E9x rims
- #51912160218
3. Dekorsilber (A55)- E9x BMW M Sport rims, some M GmbH rims and BMW Individual rims (135 M, 166 M, 193 M, 216 M, 261 M, 359 M etc.)
- #51911052671
4. Dekorsilber II (B20)- F2x/F3x/326M silver rims
- #51912180538 (touch-up)
5. Ferric Grey (A80)- 193 M, 261 M, 269 M, 313 M, 361 M...
- #51910441634
6. Ferric Grey II (B55)- F2x/F3x
- #???
7. Chrome Shadow Line (A56)- 65 M, 67 M
- #51912160217
8. Brillant Line (A57)- 32, 38, 69
- #51912160215
9. Kamacitgrau (A91)- 152, 191 M
- #51912180533

I used sparkle silver from Jawel paints. It was a good match on my e46 B3s wheels.
