BMW E36 Touring

Post by MCB » Mon Feb 01, 2016 2:21 am

I have finally managed to find myself a very nice E36 Touring to use as a daily work horse.

Unusual colour as well. Ascot Green.

It spent 9 years of its life in the south of France. So is in pretty amazing condition :D

Very nice MCB, great cars. Good spec?

(although never been a fan of aero wiper retrofits, look odd)

Thanks.

Spec is pretty much what you would expect with a 1998 318. Cloth interior. No sun roof. Electric front windows only.

But it does have duel climate and auto box. Two options that I like.

Not easy to find, but I managed to pick up a full black leather interior for it at the weekend. In perfect condition :D

I cant believe how clean and rust free the car is. I family owned and spent 9 years in the south of France. Hence the yellow lights. 107,000 miles and the engine sounds really sweet.

I only bought it because I wanted a load lugger for daily use. Plus of course I love Touring's.

Oh, and did I mention that it was a real bargain

Cylinderically challenged and an auto box.
Oh no !!!!!!
Still Its a nice looking wagon and I'm sure it will more than meet your needs.
Will keep the miles off the B3 and you can park closer to the door of the Waitrose car park without worrying about door dings!!
Happy new bus

LoL. I wanted a four pot and also auto box. So this ticked all the boxes for me, apart from the cloth interior.

I like the B3 as an auto and if I want some fun then I take it out. But as a daily this will work fine for me. Much cheaper to run and maintain than a six pot.

You see in adverts "Drives like a new car" Well this one pretty much does! Also pretty quick when you want it to be.

I would love a B3 in that colour 8)

So is the Signum going in the bin then?
It is an unusual colour
I had Oxford green and Fern green E36 Tourers in the past but not seen that colour in the flesh

No. Keeping the Signum. It has only done 50k and has been a good car. I would not get much for it anyway. A great car, but I much prefer the classics.

Yes, it is a much lighter colour than Oxford green. Looks better in the flesh than in pictures. From what I was reading I think they only used the colour for about a year 98-99.
