6/7/2007 - Celebrity freebies

Post by neil » Fri Jul 06, 2007 9:54 pm

We all know they get them. But I've been amused by a couple of things recently:

1. Gordon Ramsey
Watching the F Word of the last few weeks and amused by the large array of motors he has at his disposal. He admitted in a recent interview none of them were his as manufacturers were very kind to him...

2. Cribs
It's been ages since I've watched it but it always amazes me how much money relatively unknown 'celebrities' have - ok they are probably better known in the US. But I watching a young 19 year old rapper who had a house the size of a country mansion and who'd been given a Porsche 911.
Followed shortly afterwards by a racing driver who had a driveful of freebies.

Other celebrities I know about - Jodie Kidd - Maserati, Jamie Oliver - Maserati too and not forgetting Alan Sugar and 'his' Roller.

One I'm never convinced about is old JC himself - I can't believe hs has to buy cars ?

Thought he'd bought a Lambo Gallardo but Kristen Scott Thomas didn't like it.

yep I understood he'd just bought the Gallardo roadster in exchange for the Ford GT. (which was previously the SL55 and the F355 before that...)

I believe he has a Range Rover for his missus and the school run..
