Never again, I made the mistake of going to the one at Mallory Park :(

If you like your eardrums damaged this is the place to go, about 250 yards from the Alpina display was a company demonstrating their speaker systems

They were using a van full of speakers with all doors open, the bass was turned to max and the noise and distortion was appalling, even though we were 250 yards away.
I was under the impression that this intrusive noise was not going to be permitted at this event.

I asked several times for the organisers to ask for the din to be turned down, in the end I went down to the van myself.

Standing by the van I thought my ribs were going to cave in, speech was pointless, but I did manage to get them to turn the bass and volume down for a while, but it soon went up again.

Didn't fancy trying to have my lunch and not being able to converse properly, so left early.

380 mile round trip, waste of time and money.

Hi ya,

Your not the first person to mention this and to be honest I'm sure not the last.

I'll leave this post live for a few weeks and see what interest there actually is, if most are of the same view then I'll decline to organize an Alpina area and inform Ultimate BMW.
It would be a shame as Parmi, Sukh and his crew are great guys it always the minority that spoil things for others.

Went to Gaydon meet 2023, total disaster for reasons of noise, expletive language, lunatics revving and some wheels spinning and poor driving antics.

Was assured there would be no nonsense at Mallory park, clearly there was.

How can I be convinced to go back to Gaydon, I have been there 10 times, the museum is the same as is the lunch menu, bogs are quite clean, so uncertain at this time.

Hope you were given a good pair of ear defenders for Christmas if you decide to go again :D

Yes, thats rather my point. The organisers may well have the best of intentions, but can they actually control certain elements when they are already parked up? Not from my experience.

Hey all,

So far have 14 cars booked for this years event with some special cars coming along.
2 E28's B9 and B10,
2 E30's a C2 2.7 and an Alpina race car livery E30.
1 B10 V8 Touring -
3 E36's
2 Roaster Sports,
2 D5's
2 D3 Bt's.

So a nice mix so far. I have 14 confirmed with tickets, but I'd really like to see 20+ plus cars lined up to really steel the show in the last year of Alpina.

I decided to have faith in people and booked a ticket tonight. However, should I find out on the day that they have not delivered what was promised I might be expecting compensation for consequential loss.

Hi all,

18 spaces booked, so officially only 2 left. However there are only 1100 total display tickets so if any club has over booked we could run out of tickets and leave anyone not booked who wants to come hanging.

Got my exhibitor ticket a while back using a link you sent via FB. Although it states "Exhibitor" it doesn't say with whom or which group?
