Charles thank you I shall. Managed to book Holiday Inn at zero cost due to having plenty of points rewards at IGH Gold member. Can be cancelled up to 6pm the night before. I will work on the basis I am attending and see what the Organiser has to offer ALPINA owners.

Brian, I am also a Accor rewards member but did not have enough to cover the Novotel unfortunately.

I thought £42 for a double room without using any points was pretty good.

Brian it is excellent, I just have all these points left over and not utilised due to covid, otherwise I would have chosen the same hotel.

In respect of the event, I have now been told that there will be an option to Pay on the day, however this may not guarantee that anyone doing so can park with their display group "if already full". I am uncertain how the space will be allocated?

Clearly advance tickets where one states their preferred display parking group is easy to allocate the proportionate space? How they calculate for people arriving unannounced on the day I am uncertain.

Would certainly make sense to book in advance, and Alpina will hopefully be given a dedicated space.

All we need now is the date to be confirmed :pray

I live only 10 minutes from Donnington, so i am in. The novotel is in Long Eaton, where i live and is nice. If there is enough interest, i could pop in there and speak to the manager to get a fixed low rate. Please let me know if that would be of interest. There is also the Best Western, which is across the road from the Novotel, all just off Junction 25 of the M1.

Also, for those of you looking independently, please check out areas such as Borrowash, Spondon, Sandiacre, Sawley as there are plenty of B&B's around there.

Many thanks for that kind offer. I am waiting to see the exact and precise details on the event on the Sunday and exactly what is on offer. This is no clear at the moment and the organiser has as yet not provided information.

Please note I am not organising anything, I will simply let you know what provision there is, if any, for ALPINA group display.

Confirmation the event is 7th August 22.

The display parking is being organised by 3 Directors of the BMWCCGB, this was based on a survey of their members, which asked if they wished to display in regions or models. My response was with ALPINA. I have been advised someone will contact me to tell me what the situation will be in respect of ALPINA. More information to follow.
