Great pics looks a good turnout
Was that a Hartge proper v8 and is that a brabus merc
Hi Hap,

My first thoughts were a Hartge V8 E30, but it was actually an S85 V10 shoehorned in there! Made a fantastic noise. The CLS was a modified 500 but a very cool thing too.

I've seen the E30 before at Shelsley Walsh breakfast club and the Merc was in attendance last month.

Quite a round trip but well worth it. Great to meet you guys, brilliant venue, some great wit and banter potential. A host of very nice motors in attendance and I don’t just mean our Alpina’s. Whoever crammed the V10 into the red E30? An engineering genius? My personal fav’ of the night was the not very German low ride Impala pimpmobile, reckon it might fit nicely on my back lawn, it's a bit long for the drive!
Matt you were spot on with the camera intel for the run back – my round next time - Jules’s, hope your drivetrain is still intact and your rears didn’t shred, (too badly)
Those two E61s? Gorgeous machines. Really must do it again, soon.

Really enjoyed this evening chaps. Now up in 'Scunny' ready for some shut eye. Will get my photos added. Definitely need to do that again!

PS Might have had a spirited drive after I left you all - God I love this car!

PPS I'll ignore the comments about wet cloths and car washes you heathens..... :D
Sorry I missed you Jules - I think you were the only person I didn't manage to catch. I had a good look at your B5 though, it's an absolute beauty! Maybe next time.....
Thanks chap and defo next time. I really like C and M so will be back!

Lol, yes all good, I can't bring myself to rag my car but did do some good accelerations! It was just nice to be able to not have to worry about my licence for a change :D

Had a great journey back too with a couple of stop offs, car didn't miss a beat and 2 full tanks of fuel used within a 27 hour period so nice to get some proper mileage on her after the lockdowns etc. I must have several thousand flies now stuck to the front though so am hoping the forecast heavy rain this weekend may loosen them before I get around to a proper detail.

Cheers, Jules

It's great to meet all you guys. Thanks for the warm welcome and tips for fixing a few niggles on my D4.

Sorry these are a bit little late but I've been out and about!
Some lovely shots by my mate Mark.

There are more of Charles hold court and some close ups of his high miler!!

Cheers
