I attended all 3 day's and I can say it went well and no we did not keep dry. Friday was Wet Wet Wet and that wasn't the evening entertainment. Saturday was patchy with some heavy downpours but still pretty busy and Sunday started wet but dried up and was even warm by the end of the day.

A really good weekend with lots of visitors to the stand. Some curious about what an Alpina is, some with really interesting Alpina stories or questions and some just asking where the BMW Club Stand was.

Many thanks to all those who were able to attend. Despite the poor weather our spirits were not dampened. Due to the efforts of Simon and Tracey Alcorn we had a prime position with massive footfall. A flag flew above the small but adequate marquee which was decked in the ALPINA colours, Blue & Green. Four ALPINA sail flags and one ALPINA register flag left visitors in no doubt this was a separate and new offering in terms of being stand alone.

The owner of the new XD3 that was displayed at Goodwood, kindly place it with us for one day and we also had 2 x E36 which one does not see everyday. A nice mixture of models from E30 to 2021 production.

We had hope to have the new B8, however the senior management of Sytner decided for their own reasons it could not be provided on this occasion.

My feeling was that those who attended and displayed we very satisfied with the whole set up and potentially look forward to similar in 2022.

Perhaps this first venture will encourage others to display even if they can only spare one day as opposed to all three?
