European travel I checked my cover

I shall be travelling to a French car show in the next few months ( restrictions permitting). I thought I would check with my insurance agent what i needed and if I was covered fully. This is the result and should note be taken as a "given". Please check your individual policy and any cover.

Green Card - not required but take copy of Insurance cover not which incudes notation of the countries covered by the policy.

International Driving Licence/Permit no required for full current UK Licence holders with valid licence.

Breakdown Cover - mine is via AXA . UK recovery unless the cost exceeds the value of the vehicle less the cost of recovery. (Changed alleged due to part availability and inordinate storage charges until parts available).

Then, and please correct me, it the yellow bib or jacket, first aid kit, warning triangle, breath test kit, and potentially something I have forgotten?

This is interesting information - I'll be taking the B5 to France in May, the first time I've driven in Europe for some time. I was going to speak to my insurance and start looking into any changes due to Brexit.

Don't forget your "UK" sticker - the GB one is no longer valid.

If you have GB plates then you can get UK stickers to cover the blue section on the LHS of the plates.

Don't forget V5C and MOT cert, I was stopped in Germany a while back in my B4, if I didn't have those docs I would have had problems.
They checked the VIN number against the V5, confused them as it was an Alpina

I dont have Euro or GB plates but can get a UK sticker. The V5C etc I shall take with me, thanks.

Don't forget your UK sticker, as the GB one is no longer valid. Btw, I wanted to go to that French car show too. However, my son surprised me with a tour of Athens during the same period. He knew I wanted to visit Greece so much! Due to the fantastic offers from https://www.freetour.com/athens, we visited Acropolis with an experienced guide. We saw famous monuments like the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena Nike. Btw, I got insights into Ancient Greece from the guide. In the afternoon, we attended a tour of Cape Sounion. It was a trip to remember!

I am not suggesting this is correct, but someone I know just went away at Xmas to the continent did not bother with any of the requirements, not stopped, questioned or experienced any issues.
