I’m struggling to get confirmation from admiral for the agreed value
Charles whilst they have agreed yours is it in your document that it states shud anything happen they will pay the agreed value? I did ask the question and I got a reply g to that for newer cars they payout the market value but my fear is yes it’s agreed at X but should a claim be made I’ll get the reply our research in prices suggest your car is actually worth Y so it’s not agreed if that makes sense im waiting for a call to clarify this point
Everything else is fine with the quote

Just renewed with Admiral, including increasing the agreed value. The agent confirmed what the previous value was which confirms that it was on my file - she wouldn't have known if it wasn't. In addition, legally the conversation was recorded.

Good enough for me but it depends on how much you trust this situation. I could, of course, ask them to confirm by email ...

Charles I got a call seems that in 2017 they changed their terms on agreed value so now they only do it on classic they consider as 35 years old. It seems prior to this date there was no time limit on age so correctly it seems u have got the agreed payout for infinity as they are duty bound to honour it whilst u stay with admiral which makes sense . So as I thought they will pay me pav or mkt value which is a Shame as the other car is already with admiral so would have come in very competitive on the mcp, however how can I risk the value of the b3 in the event of an accident
Will be ringing a plan tomorrow
Frustrating!

Hap, if you do contact A Plan (I am sure there are others) do make sure its the Thatcham Branch only as they deal with ALPINA. I found submitting a brief history of my car along with photographs and some concours trophies assisted with "agreed value".

Jumping in here. Not sure if you were asking Mike for the A Plan Thatcham No. I've insured with them, really pleased. The number is 01635 874646.
