I had similar with my D3. I always thought Adrian Flux and Sky were direct competitors but Sky always come up miles ahead in terms of competitive quotes.

Try Liverpool Victoria, they actually know what an Alpina is, and are very competitive.

Good to hear that LV recognize `us` now, they would not entertain the B10 Touring back in 2012.

I use Aston Scott http://www.astonscott.com/insurance/spe ... -insurance ... at Farnborough - 01252 377546 - farnborough@astonscott.com and find them excellent :D

I'm with Equity Red Star on a Multi car for my E92 335i and E36 B3. 10yrs NCD and 2yrs NCD respectively with a clean license and business use on the E92 paying just under £1000.

Free inclusions:
Roadside cover
Unlimited windscreen cover
European cover

This is a commercial insurance firm who seem to know their stuff and Alpina cars which is the reason why only a few brokers have access to them.

Go via Classicline Insurance http://www.classiclineinsurance.co.uk/
E36 B3 3.0 #178
E46 B3 3.3 #188
Cupra Ateca
E30 C2.7 - Stolen

If you ever have everything under control, you’re not moving fast enough

Not sure ?

I do not have trade insurance, Aston Scott broker out my policies to suit. The B10 T is with Equity Red Star and includes storage plus an automatic (unwanted) trackday cover. Mileage is limited to < 5,000 per year.

They also cover our Audi B5 S4 Avant using Aviva.

Their expertise and specialist contacts cut through obstacles that other companies have as standard e.g. vehicle knowledge - alarm / tracking requirements

I insured my Alpina B10 V8 with LV when they were still Frizzells about 16 years ago.
For some reason they stopped accepting Alpinas, so I had to go elsewhere for a while.
Been back with them for some while now.
B4 costs £260, 130m sport £160.
As Frizzells they paid out promptly when some numpty hit me on a roundabout in my Quattro about 25 years ago :D

Flux do my Alpina Roadster for £300/year on 5000 miles, but they are useless when it comes to Customer Service. (Mirrored bonus, garaged etc)

I swapped it for a 2.5 Z4 (177BHP) and they said the premium was the same !!

Wait til I swap it back and it suddenly becomes £500, as I know they'll try it !!

Hi,
Unfortunately we can'y always be competitive on every quotation I'm afraid. I'm sure my bosses wish we could though! If you wanted to PM your details though I'd be happy to take another look at it to make sure we haven't missed a market etc.

Dan,

Here we go....

I got an email from Adrian Flux today, quoting me the renewal premium for the Policy that insured my Alpina 3.4RS (Z4) (until December), that was £300 last year.

Renewal on my measly Z4 2,5SE ( 177BHP) on Jan 31st...... Yep £411.00 and Ive had no claims or anything this year.

When I sell this 2.5 in Feb/March and I put the Alpina back on the road what will it be then ?

How the hell can this be correct. And Dan if you read this, please follow through with your promise to look into it that you made in my previous post above.
I'm just totally P'd off with people trying to have your pants down and thinking you're stupid.
I'll get it cheaper either from Flux or elsewhere, but why do I have to have the hassle of phoning up and saying "Hello, I'm not a stupid, gullible person, so can I have a proper quote please ? ":wall2
