Re: Road fund tax 2025
It wasn't until approximately 2007/8 (not absolutely certain and would appreciate confirmation on this) that Sytner started registering the cars based on CO2 emissions, so anything registered before this date will be classified as PLG - which is a nice bonus!
For Alpinas that are taxed at PLG rates - such as the two mentioned above - the current 24/25 rate is £345.
This is expected to rise to £360 for 25/26 on 1st April.

Re: Road fund tax 2025
Thanks Charles, yes mine is PLG. If I understand as I had SORN mine and now taxed in March I saved 15 pounds? Those later will have to pay far more.

Re: Road fund tax 2025
It goes up every year in April, sadly!
By taxing in March, you get the current (lower) rate but when you do the same next March, you will pay next year's (higher) rate - so you are only delaying the inevitable

Re: Road fund tax 2025
Charles - to be honest I taxed it because I wanted to use it, not because I was smart and saved 15 pounds. Point taken re next March 2026.

Re: Road fund tax 2025
Thanks John - perhaps it was nearer 2010 then, probably around the time of a new model change.
