Then your only option really is to go to the stealers and pay top wack.
If you search ebay carefully you will find some very good copies.
I've got Alpina badges on mine and they are copies + they have faded but i wouldn't have a problem with buying carbon fibre badges off ebay to replace mine.
You just need to do a bit homework before you buy.

B3 3.2 boot lid badge

Post by WJW » Wed Mar 09, 2011 9:26 pm

Thanks guys. I am looking for the B3 3.2 version of the badge. What kind of money are we talking about from Sytner? Will they sell it with out the chases number? If not is there a way around this? I have only used original Alpina parts to rebuild this E36 back to showroom condition. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

You can get it direct from Alpina (if you ask nicely) but I suspect there will be little difference in price compared with Sytner. I was over £100 for my model designation badge a couple of years ago, posted from Buchloe.

Unfortunately, they don't sell to the public. They advised to go through a dealership!! Can anyone help??? We have spent a small fortune rebuilding this car.....

Not sure if you're still looking, but there's a genuine set on German ebay
