4 x Genuine Alpina Classic Wheel Centre Caps with Keys

Post by AJF » Sun May 25, 2014 5:38 pm

If anyone is interested I am selling a complete set of genuine original Alpina Classic Wheel centre caps. I have also listed them on eBay at this link with the description below:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0849990286

I recently fitted new Pukar Design Alpina badges for £30 so they look really smart. As you can see they're on eBay for £200 (Buy It Now) but I'd accept an offer of £175 from an Alpina Register forum member, which is less than half-price compared to a new set. PM me in advance if you're interested.

"This is a complete set of 4 genuine original Alpina Classic Wheel centre caps. As the photos show they look great and are in very good condition with no serious marks, rust or damage.

They are from a 2006 Alpina B5 which was fitted with a new set when the wheels were refurbished. This original set had faded Alpina coloured logo badges in the centre but these have since been replaced with new badges to restore the appearance. The replacement coloured Alpina logo badges are non-original but are a high quality exact-fit copy as recommended on the Alpina Register forum and are virtually indistinguishable. The wheel centre caps themselves are metal and very high quality. They will fit all Alpina "Classic" design wheels (18", 19" and 20") and the Alpina part number is 3610064.

The coloured centre badges are on a clever spring loaded mechanism so they swivel out of the way to reveal the hidden security locks as shown in the photos. All the locks are fully working and complete with a full set of keys.

A new set of these genuine original Alpina Classic Wheel centre caps costs £384 and availability is limited. The security locks alone are £96 per set of 4 if bought separately.

These could be a bargain for anyone whose original Alpina Classic Wheel centre caps are missing, damaged or in poor condition, or just as spares."

Hi,

To be honest I don't think they will fit 16" Alpina wheels as far as I know. They were on 2006 19" Alpina Classic wheels and I know they will fit 18" and 20" Alpina Classics. But I think the 16" Alpina wheels were a different design and had a different type of locking centre caps.

Thanks for your interest.

Andrew.

I've had lots of interest and enquiries but no sale yet!

Just to let everyone know, I'm reducing the eBay 'buy it now' price to £200 but I'll accept a 'best offer' from an AlpinaRegister forum member of £175. That's less than half price compared to the online price of a new set.

I've edited the original post above to reflect the change.

Regards,

Andrew

I think 16" and 17" classics were the ones with the plain caps and the ones you had to remove the whole cap off to get to the key. These look like 18" and 19" only

Slightly OT but where did you get the replacement coloured Alpina logo badges?

Thanks
