Dear forum
As an outer Londoner I've have recently been informed my beloved B5 will soon fall foul of the widened ULEZ zone and sadly can't afford the £12.50 daily tariff to keep it on the road.
So I'll soon be putting it on the market (to presumably a good home outside Mr Khan's grasp), but would like anyones suggestions on something as exciting to replace it with.
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks
Nick

Re: Alpina B5 2005 - reluctant sale, suggested replacement
Are you sure your B5 is definitely not compliant? Because of the nature of ALPINAs small production volumes many of their cars actually are compliant, but you need to do a little work to verify this with TfL.

Hi Nick
Your car is Euro 4 so should be ok.
If you e-mail Alpina with your VIN no. (classic@alpina.de) they should confirm the Nox value before you pay the 70 Euros for the certificate.
You need NOx emissions less than 0.08g/km to be ULEZ exempt.

Maybe we should compile a list of cars we know have passed, there is a Alpina B10 V8 (1998) - now certified as ULEZ compliant on ebay.
