it's good to be back in the fold...

Post by Deeg » Mon Oct 24, 2022 1:09 pm

Morning all, been a long time since I was properly active n the forum but finally back in to Alpina ownership.

I've been looking for sometime for a D3 tourer, and waiting on a previous car to sell that fell through a couple of times. This weekend I picked up my latest Alpina, D3 Bi turbo E91 tourer #277 from a private sale in Dundee, post about it here: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=26314

I know it was only recently change ownership but once I got chatting to the current owner and seen the attention he has to his previous cars I just had a good feeling about it.

some of you may remember my previous car, which I always secretly hoped to locate again after I sold it 5 years ago, but no sucj luck, D3 MT E90 - #207

I sold the D3MT to fund an E46 M3 which I still have and that is definitely a long term project...a lot of blood sweat tears and money going in to that one!

Couple little minor things to sort out with the new one, new GENUINE BMW roundels already ordered to remove the fake Alpina ones previously been fitted.
Apart from that just hoping to keep standard with regular maintenance, as this will be my daily driver.

Will post up a couple pics once the weather is better and she's clean again.

Cheers Hap.
Yeah I need to fix the front Alpina sticker on the new one as well. Will need to get the silver to match the stripes.

Sorry Hap, I just see what you mean, I never clicked the deko kit wasn't genuine until late last night... :doh :doh :doh
I thought it was just the front spoiler sticker not matching you were on about.

Already reached out to SPA69 to see if he is still doing kits.

Cheers Roy good to see you’re still here.

I’ve now moved now down south of Stonehaven but still working at same office in Altens so on the A90/A92 everyday.
Obviously still have the odd trip through town also so will definitely be about.
