Shipping a 7 series from California to Florida

Post by bigwillybeamer » Thu Sep 08, 2022 11:02 pm

Hello, I am shipping my 7 series for the first time from San Diego down to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. I got a quote for $2595 enclosed from National Car Shipping. That seems pretty good because Reliable Car Carriers and Horseless Carraige both wanted like $5000 which seemed kind of wild. I know they provide a top notch service but paying over double is crazy. Has anyone used National before? https://longdistancetowing.com/enclosed ... ing-a-bmw/

Why not take a few days and drive instead? That's should be a pleasure in a 7 series.

There are a host of Container Shipping Lines operating around the world services, so who will carry it depends on your shipping agent. The freight cost seems reasonable as rates from the far East to UK have more than doubled in the last year. I guess you will have a door to door service and the receiving agent will return it to a location whereby they can ramp it off the trailer. The other alternative is a side lift container crane vehicle which can place it on the ground. However it still needs small ramps as the ground is around 5 inches higher than the floor due to the construction of the iSO Container.

Looks great, enjoy.

Hey there. I hope this reply finds you well. I came across your old post regarding car shipping and wanted to chime in. I hear you on the crazy prices some companies quote for shipping a car. I haven't used National Car Shipping before, but it's worth checking out. By the way, just in case you're still in the research stage of shipping your car, have you considered looking up how much to ship a car to get a rough idea of the cost? This way, you have a better understanding of what's reasonable and what's not. Hope this helps.

Shipping a 7 series from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale sounds like a journey! National Car Shipping's $2595 for enclosed transport seems like a solid deal compared to the higher quotes you received. While I don't have specific info on National, https://www.a1autotransport.com/florida ... companies/ has been a reliable choice for many. They might offer insights or even competitive quotes for your cross-country shipment. Checking reviews and asking National about their insurance coverage can provide peace of mind.
