Roof lining; Carly.

Just had my E46 B3 cabrio sagging hard top roof lining replaced at Autotrim, Denton, Manchester (near Jct 24 M60). Nice job, nice people and an old style ex BMW master technician to boot! Saved a chunk of dosh over BMW (part alone would been £1,200 +VAT) and happy to recommend them. https://www.autotrimltd.co.uk/contact

Whilst I'm here, does anyone use / recommend the Carly+ OBD scanner? Does it recognise Alpina specific S/W mods, eg., engine / transmission?

Many thanks.

I've used a Carly on my F32 D4. It's quite basic and one up from a free app and £20 code reader. I'm a legacy user so don't have to pay their subscription model, I think if I had to subscribe I would probably look elsewhere. It also doesn't recognise the car as an Alpina specifically. That said it has been incredibly useful for as much basic mod coding as I want to do (folding mirrors and panic braking hazards) and coding a replacement battery installation. I think there must be better options out there.

2004 645Ci (sold regretfully)
2001 E39 525 (sold happily)
1997 E36 328 Cab (written off due to CAT theft  )
2004 Z4 3.0s (I clearly have a habit...)

Many thanks for your helpful reply. The basic Carly is, as you say, er basic, but the Carly+ is described as having far more functionality. Just marketing spiel?? Which other options out there would you suggest I look at.
