Re: D5 #250 has arrived!
Very nice, enjoy.
Re: D5 #250 has arrived!
First birthday today - 12500 faultless miles (by the car rather than my driving). The computer says I have been driving for 17 1/2 days @ 40.9 overall mpg which is improving all the time. Will update with a few more first year thoughts over the weekend, currently preparing for Old Trafford tomorrow!
Re: D5 #250 has arrived!
Happy birthday!
Hope you enjoyed the day at OT, what a match this is turning out to be (Ashes has been brilliant so far!)
How are you getting on with the tyres now?

Re: D5 #250 has arrived!
Old Trafford Friday was a brilliant day - shame about the weather today - non stop rain in the north so a frustrating draw…
Tyres….had yet another puncture fixed a couple of weeks ago but was told minimal wear which is good (I no longer feel competent or capable of checking my own ) but indicatively 20k mileage potentially.
I am so befuddled by the astounding ride quality that I can’t imagine changing from the Pirelli Alps - having said that, our RR Sport is so scary in the wet aquaplaning on (even new) Pirelli Scorpion Zeros that (after yet another puncture) I have changed to Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and the difference is equally befuddling - the ride, steering, noise are all noticeably better - and in the wet they are brilliant.
There is a current tyre topic here but would be interested to see if anyone with a G30/31 has gone to Michelin without finding it being detrimental to the ride quality.

Yes there is another tyre topic running on this. I've switched to Michelin on my G31 B5. Very slightly firmer than the Pirellis (but at the v high factory recommended pressures), but the performance is different level. And I'm sure they will last a lot longer too.
My gut feel is the Pirelli Alp spec tyre is softer - for the best possible ride, but also creating a tyre that's prone to punctures, sidewall damage to potholes and faster wear rate.

Re: D5 #250 is leaving!
#250 going up for sale this weekend - seen something else and have a trade in price I can live with if necessary - I suspect it would be up for at least mid 60s with a dealer looking at the D3/4s for sale at Sytner (but as there are no D5s so difficult to say). Spec is all here, if anyone is interested before it goes on sale please let me know. It will be £56000, current mileage is 15700, just had ceramic top up so immaculate inside and out but can send current pics to anyone interested. Many thanks, John

Thanks Matt, ads now up on Pistonheads and Autotrader - preparing them made me somewhat question what I am planning!
