XB7 trade in

Post by TexasJester » Fri Jun 25, 2021 9:25 pm

6 months ago I traded my M50i for a XB7. My M50i had a sticker of 119k and I traded at 19000 miles, 85k is all it would do. My Alpina had a sticker of $150,000. It was fixing to hit 19000 miles so it was time to go. It brought $125,000. So there is real world experience, not something a computer or book says. And as soon as the 2022 is available to order my next one will be ordered!

That's a decent saving on depreciation!

Why does it have to go at 19000 miles? Just about run-in!

The trade price drops like a rock anyway but at 20k it gets worse. Also the 2nd set of 15000 mile tires has 5000 on them and will soon start looking thin.

id say you've had a lucky escape finding someone to take the X7 in on a trade in!

They are still pretty much a new car. Exhibit A, bought a X7m50i last summer(XB7 weren’t out yet) with 120k sticker paid 105k. Put 40k miles on it. When I traded it in on my mineral white XB7 all it brought was 85k. So my XB7 had sticker of 150k, paid 140k. So last month I traded for a truck I needed and my XB7 brought 125k. So after more than a month of searching every vehicle made as a replacement for my wife we decided unanimously that there was not a vehicle out there we liked as much so I went and got her a Alpina blue XB7! Sticker was 150k, paid $134,411. So if you sitting around thinking about the best car out there go put your butt in the seat of one! But be warned if your not planning to buy it drive it!

Availability of the XB7 in the US is greater than in the UK. I think tehre are only 3 over here. I probably need my eyes drilling out but I like the X7 but wasn't sold on the looks of the XB7 based on the pictures but I had occasion to go to Sytener in Sheffield a couple of weeks ago and had a proper look around and sit in it, and I really liked it. Over here, you need to swap the $ for £ sign with the same amounts and little if any discount. Sticker price in the UK is £150k. My heart would say yes, sadly my pocket says no
