D5 Front brakes

Post by D3orbust » Tue Jun 22, 2021 8:47 am

Just had all 4 tyres replaced and while the wheels were off I’ve noticed that the front pads are getting low.

Are these just standard size pads for the D5 (F10)? As I heard somewhere that the calipers are from a 7 series and has anybody got any links to the ones I need to buy.

Thanks.

Somebody will be along who knows what they are talking about, but I recall when I had the front discs replaced on my D5, it was a bit of a faff as they had to source 7 series parts. So they aren’t standard f10.

The parts catalogues are all linked in this post:
viewtopic.php?f=38&t=24985

The front and rear dics/pads are all 11-digit part numbers so they're BMW parts. The front discs/pads come up on realoem as being from F0x (5er GT, 6er GC & 7er). www.autodoc.co.uk list the Brembo versions at £163 for discs and £90 for pads for example.
