A month since it went for its MOT, which failed as expected on a very noticeable suspension clunk, but which was very straightforward to fix so I just bit the bullet and got it done there and then. So we have an MOT! Great to get out and about in it in the sun for a while before a UK holiday and then rubbish weather have kept it in the garage for a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately there's loads of advisory pickups, not entirely surprising though; plenty to keep me busy in the garage over the winter - it needs a suspension refresh front and back.

As this thread has migrated waaay off the original topic I think I will use the momentous occasion of a passed MOT to draw a line under this saga that began as a head gasket DIY. I'll start another thread to document other stuff that I get up to!

Gratuitous pic of the car looking very smart in the evening sun 8)
