What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Took out the e36 and went to Toyota to see my Daughters first car.
She came along as she has her eyes in the B3 one day although her first car is lovely and she opted for the GR spec as performance automobiles is what she likes - Good girl!
Got caught out with the rain but like all things ALPINA, the car had no issues with grip.

Gave it a wash for the first time since before Christmas. Also applied a layer of Gyeon Wet Coat to it. No pics, as you’ve seen it before.

My wife ordered it from somewhere online and I am sure if there is a make. It says ‘ Dayplus’ on the unit.
It came with the syphon hose to use water from a bucket so I’ll be taking this with me to car shows and car have a shiny car on display for once.
X2 batteries and plenty of psi.
Found it on Amazon for £22.
What a bargain!

They were probably faulty anyway to be fair.
B5 G30 number 332 (development car)
D5 number 21
D3MT number 284 (gone but will be sadly missed)

Yep all of them were faulty!
What a waste of journey to charge the batteries.

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Following my post a few weeks ago about hitting a pot hole on the M25, the wheel is now repaired and will be collected soon.
I decided that whilst she was off the road, i would attack the issue of headlights having condensation within the unit. I ordered the rubber seals from BMW themselves and they came at about £40 for the pair. Part number is: 63128380210 and they are not sided.
I carefully took the headlights out being extra vigilant around the Xenon headlight, headlight washers. the trim here is clipped in place and can be brittle.
Poor old girl.... no headlights and on the skinny spare wheel...
Headlights out, i took these inside and left them to warm up to help to avoid plastic breaking. I split them and removed the seal, the new seal is much thicker, so i used a jig and some clamps to get the lenses back on and clipped all the way around.
Once sealed back up, i used the advise given to me on here and used a very fine cutting compound and rotary machine polisher on the lenses. Not perfect, but much better. Much better!

Did about 400 miles in it. Got it dirty, but roadtrip grime is ace.
