Got mine MOT’d this week. Passed with flying colours. I’ve never owned a car for as long as this one. Wonder if it’s time for a change…..

Checked and topped oil up

Checked other fluids, filed washer bottle

Checked tyre pressures

Sorted washer jets not working - blew through with air line and set aim on nozzles so all good now

Manual gearbox oil change today. Using Royal Purple Synchromax... a lot of good vibes for it from other E39 drivers. Time will tell!

Did both you guys get letters for the recall?

Mine had an EGR on recall with the previous owner and isn't showing anything online.

It was just a phone call out of the blue, while it’s in for repair they are giving the car a ‘free health check’ where they can try and upsell

Another one in favour of Royal Purple transmission fluid. Used this in the transaxle of a 944 S2 years back. Within 10 mins of driving it was much quieter and better to use.

Even in the cars current filthy state, it was still attractive enough to get some attention at Stanway in Colchester:

Had a busy Sunday yesterday. 165Miles and 4hrs 22min of driving (but only 1/4 of a tank).

Had planned to go to Westlondonclassics meet in Feltham Sunday morning, as I know a few guy who organize it and a lot of the cars are from the area I grew up in. Ended up bumping into a mate I went to school with.
Then when I got home started seeing a lot of posts and messages about Sharnbrook last minute meet. Turns out it was the last ever meet at Sharnbrook as the hotel has been sold so the Petrolheadanism.club team who's family owned the hotel wanted one last meet. They literally decided Sunday morning and by 4pm there must of been 500 car's on site. I joined just before 4pm and ended up leaving about 6pm, as it started turning into a bit of a party.
Just incase your wondering, yes that is my car in the middle of the shot and there were car's parked next to me but they had already gone.
