Filthy car. Thanks to Drink Driver

Post by Cooknerkid » Wed Jan 12, 2022 5:33 pm

Thanks to a drink Driver demolishing the bridge to the main road from our village between Xmas and the new year, we now have an extra 8 miles along country lanes each way to leave the village. As such, D3 bt is filthy. Thanks

Just a good excuse to clean it more often.

I'd be happy for an 8 mile bendy twisty detour in an Alpina
Smiles per mile.

You obviously don’t live in Northamptonshire if you believe you can get 8 miles of “ driveable” roads. Even in the wife’s SUV we still move to the middle of the road to avoid poor quality roads. Anyway I am a happier bunny today as the bridge has re- opened and I have washed the D3bt. Happy days😄😄😄

Looks superb! There are a lot of small country roads around here but this time of year they are just covered with mud from the farms etc - far from enjoyable.

Looks so good clean,

I live in south bucks which has some great driving road, but also some of the worse condition roads I've driven on. I often think if a police car was following me when I am weaving down a road avoiding pot holes would they pull me over thinking I am drunk.......

I've just completed a post about a damaged wheel from a pot hole and the £150 bill to repair it.

I have been reading yours. £150 seemed a reasonable solution if you say it quickly. We had about half a mile where the road split in half and the verge moved towards the field by about 150mm - It took them a single day to repair it - so you guess what quality it is. When it’s wet you can’t tell how deep the potholes are, so we have to drive with 2 wheels on wrong side of white lines otherwise we’d be paying £150 every week 😂😂

yh I agree, I said it quickly and paid it quickly and it didn't feel as bad. It's one of those things where I should of avoided the pot hole, as I am always looking for them, but I missed this one. So to have it faxed well and quickly was the priority being that mine is my daily driver.

I have submitted a claim on the councils insurance but I don't expect much from them, I know they will wriggle out of it and come up with reasons why they are not going to pay up.
