I've driven around some of the locks, not in my Alpina, in a hire car and even that was fun. I fully imagine that drive was most enjoyable. The grubbiness only confirms how much fun has been had.

Indeed very spoiled with the roads local to me
Took The D3 not the B3 due to the sublime fuel economy and not sure what the state of play with fuel availability in the arse end of nowhere. After the 500 miles I still had a quarter tank left !!
Didn't see Nessie though

It's super stealth at the moment, but would look great with the full Alpina war paint!

Went to the Surrey BMW Owners Club meeting at the Fairmile in Cobham, maybe last chance for decent weather this year.
Minor milestone compared to some people, but clocked up all the fives.

We will be based in Ambleside but do head out all over the place from there, always take in Wrynose and Hardknot passes, as we like to take the youngest on the narrow gauge railway from Boot to Ravenglass.

Great, we took the kids on the that railway a couple of years ago, it was a nice day out and they loved it :D

Just something to be aware of- we saw local signs for the Langdale Marathon next weekend and having just looked at the route it might hinder access where you pick up the start of Wrynose pass through little Langdale:

Have a great weekend!
